The planning committee meets every 2 weeks in the Council Chamber at the Chantry Centre. Basildon Council is the local planning authority but the Town Council is a consultee on planning applications and licensing applications and any objections raised by the Town Council will be considered by Basildon Council. The committee also looks at any consultations that are submitted by Government departments and other Local Authorities. You are welcome to attend and if you would like to speak about any item on the agenda then please contact the Council office.
