The Town Council recently recognised that our War Memorial was in need of cleaning and repair. Last week, Bakers of Danbury, a specialist heritage building contractor, visited to carry out a thorough clean.
This important step has made it easier to assess the memorial’s condition, and necessary repair work has now been identified.
We’re pleased to share that the contractors will return in September to carry out the restoration and ensure the memorial continues to be a respectful and lasting tribute to those who served.
