Billericay Town Council is pleased to announce the installation of our very first solar compacting bin, located at the top of Chantry Way. This innovative bin replaces the previous one, which frequently overflowed and attracted local wildlife- particularly foxes, who were known to scatter food waste around the area.
The new bin, not only compacts waste to increase capacity but also features attractive images of Billericay landmarks, adding a local touch to a modern solution. It also included a dedicated cigarette butt disposal area to help keep our streets cleaner.
We would like to extend our thanks to Marcel for the smooth installation and to the team at Future Street for their excellent service. Our thanks also go to Basildon Borough Council for preparing the base – an excellent example of partnership working to enhance services for our residents
